Creation of a limited liability company in Türkiye requires capital of $1,800

12:23 - 27.11.2023

November 27, Fineko/ The Turkish government has increased the minimum amount of capital for the creation of joint-stock and limited liability companies in the country.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the new rules, JSCs can be created with investments of at least 250,000 TL, and LLCs with investments of at least 50,000 TL.

So far this amount has been 5-fold less. So, until now, an LLC could be created with capital of 10,000 TL and JSCs with capital of 50,000 TL.

The new decree will come into force on January 1, 2024. This requirement will not relate to companies created up to now – they will not be required to increase their capital. But in a statement, the Ministry of Commerce says it would be better if these companies would also increase their capital.
