November 27, Fineko/abc.az. The amount of burial allowances is 840 manats for persons of retirement age and 500 manats for non-pensioners. This issue is determined by the principles of social insurance.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Labor & Social Protection Minister Sahil Babayev at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.

The minister noted that an appropriate document is required for the payment of burial allowances.

"There are often cases when the deceased has several heirs. There may be a dispute between them about who should be paid this money. Therefore, a certificate from the relevant executive authority is needed about which of the heirs carried out the burial, and it is to him that the above funds will eventually be paid. This amount will be increased in stages. Benefits on the occasion of the birth of a child and on the occasion of burial have increased almost 5 times over the past 4 years. This trend will continue. This issue will be considered in every package of social reforms," Babayev said.
