About 55 bcm of gas pumped through TANAP by end of November

November 30, Fineko/abc.az. Data on Azerbaijani gas supplies via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) to Türkiye and Europe has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy that about 55 bcm of gas have been pumped through TANAP by the end of November 2023.

TANAP originates on the border of Türkiye with Georgia and in Ipsala region of Edirne province, at the Greek border it is connected to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), through which natural gas from Shah Deniz-2 is supplied to European countries.

On November 30, 2019, the opening ceremony of TANAP part took place in the city of Ipsala.

The total length of the pipeline is 1,850 km, with maximum capacity of 31 bcm.
