December 4, Fineko/abc.az. Alaska Air Group, the fifth largest airline in the United States, agreed to purchase Hawaiian Airlines from Hawaiian Holdings for about $1.9 billion, including debt.

Alaska Air Group reports that as part of the transaction, which will be fully paid in cash, Alaska Air will pay $18 per share to Hawaiian Airlines. Both brands will remain.

The boards of directors of the seller and the buyer have already approved the transaction. Its closure is expected in the next 12-18 months.

Hawaiian Airlines' net debt is about $900 million.
