December 7, Fineko/abc.az. Municipal elections will also be conducted in Azerbaijan in 2024, along with early presidential elections.

ABC.AZ reports that early presidential elections will be held in February, and municipal elections are expected in December.

The last municipal elections in the country were held on December 23, 2019. The term of office of local governments is 5 years, that is, it expires by the end of next year.

According to the Electoral Code, municipal elections are appointed by the Central Election Commission, and information on the date of their holding is published no later than two days after the decision is made.
