December 11, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2023, the average monthly nominal salary of employees in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to 921.1 manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with the 2022 same period, the average monthly nominal salary of employees increased by 11.3%.

As of November 1, 2023, the number of employees in the Azerbaijani economy reached 1,729,400 people, 896,900 of them worked in the public sector of the economy, and 832,500 people worked in the non-governmental sector.

19.1% of employees are involved in education, 18.5% in trade, vehicle repair, 12.9% in industry, 8.4% in health and social services, 6.5% in construction, 6.4% in public administration and defense, social security, 4.3% in transport and warehousing, 3.7% - professional, scientific and technical activities, 3.4% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 2.1% - financial and insurance activities, 14.7% are involved in other sectors of the economy.
