December 14, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly salary of maritime transport workers in Azerbaijan increased by 15% compared with 2022.

Over Jan-Sept 2023, average monthly salary of workers employed in maritime transport reached 2,184.8 manats (1,899.7 manats for Jan-Sept 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The number of people working at sea in Azerbaijan has increased from 6,555 to 6,620 for Jan-Sept of this year.

The total number of ships in the country's ports grew from 2,294 to 2,990 for the first 9 months of 2023.
