December 14, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly salary of construction workers reached 956.2 manats for Jan-Sept 2023 (12.7% more versus Jan-Sept 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Over Jan-Sept 2022, the average monthly salary of employees in this industry amounted to 848.7 manats.

In general, as of October 1, 2023, 111,200 people were employed in construction. Compared to October 1, 2022, this figure decreased by 13.7%. As of October 1, 2022, more than 130,000 people worked in this field. In total, 55,500 people were employed in the construction sector (26.3% less than a year earlier), 29,100 people in building construction (4.5% more), 27,500 people in specialized construction works (a rise of 2.9%).

Over the reported term, the wages of employees engaged in the construction of buildings amounted to 1,088.5 manats (a rise of 21.1%), workers in civil construction works - 914.4 manats (increase of 11.3%), and workers in specialized construction works – 1,020.2 manats (a rise of 11.1%).
