December 21, Fineko/abc.az. To date, 6.6 billion manats have been invested in industrial zones in Azerbaijan and more than 11,000 permanent jobs created.

ABC.AZ reports that Economic Zones Development Agency’s chairman of board Elshad Nuriyev said about this at the Azerbaijani-Turkish Investment Forum.

He noted that at the next stage, it is planned to invest 864 million manats in industrial zones under existing projects and create more than 6,700 permanent jobs.

"Over Jan-Sept 2023, enterprises operating in industrial zones sold products for 2.3 billion manats, and over 31% (or more than AZN 722 million) of them were exported. For the first 9 months of 2023, with production volume of 2.3 billion manats, the share of industrial zones in the non-oil sector of country's industry made up 17.9%, and in the export of non-oil industrial products - 22.9%. Products made in industrial zones have been exported to more than 60 countries," Nuriyev added.
