December 25, Fineko/abc.az. Local building materials are used during construction work in Agdam district.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Emin Huseynov, president’s special representative on occupation- liberated territories belonging to the Karabakh Economic Region (with the exception of Shusha region).

He added that effective use of deposits of building materials significantly improves both the quality and efficiency of construction and restoration work:

"Speech is about more efficient use of the geological deposits available in the territories liberated from occupation, the use of very important building materials in the restoration process. In this regard, development of famous deposit Shahbulag in Agdam region is underway. We believe that from now on, the natural deposits of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur will be more efficiently exploited and more steadily returned to the economic cycle, which will significantly improve both the quality and efficiency of restoration and construction work."

Huseynov stressed that such issues were covered at today’s meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Issues in Agdam: "One of the other environmental issues discussed today is the expansion of the irrigation system of restored villages, cities and towns, as well as strengthening coordination between various government agencies in this area."
