By end of 2024, 1,395 people to return to village in Jabrayil district

January 26, Fineko/abc.az. Karizs are being restored in Khorovlu village of Jabrayil district.

ABC.AZ reports that Nargiz Garajayeva, senior adviser to President’s Special Representative Office in Jabrayil and Zangilan districts, member of the Working Group on Environmental Issues, said this at a meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Issues in Zangilan.

She added that construction and restoration work in Khorovlu village of Jabrayil district began in 2023.

"Before the occupation, there were more than 100 Karizs in Jabrayil, but during the occupation the karizs were destroyed. Currently, 5 karizs are being restored in Khorovlu village, 2 karizs have been fully restored, and work on the restoration of 3 karizs will be completed in the coming months."

She noted that at the first stage of State Program of Great Return, by the end of 2024, the population of this village will be approximately 1,395 people: "In the coming years, the population of the village will be about 3,500 people."
