Türkiye’s tourism revenues reach record levels

On February 2, Fineko/abc.az. Türkiye finished 2023 with a rise of 10% of tourist traffic, reaching 56.7 million tourists.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism that tourism revenues in the country grew by 16.9% year-on-year up to $54.3 bn, and the average spending of visitors per night reached $99.

Last year, Türkiye also set a record as one of the most popular destinations in Europe in terms of culture, art, gastronomy, cycling and religious tourism, as well as seaside holidays.

In 2024, the country plans to attract 60 million tourists and generate $60 bn in tourism revenue.
