February 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), subordinate to the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision (under the Ministry of Economy), has adopted new state standards AZS 945:2023 (GOST 20144-74) "Canned cucumbers. Technical specifications", AZS TS 794:2023 "Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L). Technical specifications", AZS GOST:25555.0: 2023 "Fruit & vegetable processing products. Methods for determining titrated acidity".

ABC.AZ was informed at AZSTAND that these new state standards were adopted in order to ensure improvement of quality (production, import, export and entry into the consumer market) of vegetable products in the republic, including canned cucumbers and tomatoes in the field of vegetable growing. The new state standards were reviewed by the Technical Committee for Standardization "Production, processing, storage, transportation of vegetable seeds, grown products" (AZSTAND/TK 26) and approved by the Institute and included in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.
