February 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkish cities of Istanbul and Antalya entered Top 10 of the world’s most visited cities in the post-pandemic period.

ABC.AZ reports that after COVID-19 pandemic, Türkiye has once again become a favorite of foreign tourists.

Thus, in the list of the 100 most visited cities in the world in 2023, Istanbul overtook London and Dubai, with an increase of about 26% last year compared üith 2022.

Antalya, which received 16.5 million tourists in 2023, was most often visited by Germans, Russians and Britons. Antalya, which receives tourists who outnumber its population, has outstripped Paris and New York. In particular, due to the increase in direct flights to Antalya, the number of travelers to the city increased by 29% last year against 2022.

Domestic and international flights in the country also increased by 16.3% for the reported term.
