February 9, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, 64.5 hectares were sown in Ganja (including 29 hectares of cereals and legumes, 34.5 hectares of vegetable crops, 1 hectare of forage crops).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ganja City Statistics Department that as of January 1, 2024, 61.1 tons of cereals and legumes, 146.2 tons of vegetables, 28.8 tons of alfalfa, 894.6 tons of fruits and berries, 427.2 tons of grapes were harvested from the fields. As of January 1, 2024, there were 748 heads of cattle (including 308 cows and buffaloes), 1,184 heads of sheep and goats, and 38 heads of pigs on farms.

In the city of Ganja, over Jan-Dec 2023, the livestock sector produced 172 tons of live meat, 711.3 tons of milk, 1.005 million eggs, 2.9 tons of wool. Compared with 2022, meat production grew by 105.5 tons (2.6-fold), eggs - by 597,000 eggs (2.5-fold), milk - by 308.4 tons (76.5%), wool - by 0.1 tons (3.6%).

Over Jan-Sept 2023, gross agricultural output in actual prices totaled 4.67 million manats, including crop production – 3.01 million manats, livestock production – 1.66 million manats.
