10:52 - 16.02.2024

February 16, Fineko/abc.az. If bus congestion in Baku is below 70% during peak hours, then their attractiveness to passengers will increase.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Anar Rzayev, chairman of board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport.

He added that the increased attractiveness of buses is associated with intervals, bus capacity and route optimization: "According to our calculations, 2,500 buses should operate in Baku. That is, there is currently a need for an additional 500 buses."

Rzayev also noted that movement of buses along the route should be regular: "The carrier cannot stop service at any time. The routes should be open until 24:00."
