10:52 - 16.02.2024

February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, there are 2,000 buses operating in Baku, of which at least half must be replaced, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Anar Rzayev, chairman of board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

He added that there is large accumulation of buses at the stops, resulting in congestion: "Despite the fact that we are making certain changes during peak hours, this is still not enough."

Rzayev pointed out that 180 bus route lines are currently operating in Baku, and during peak hours, congestion on more than 20 of them exceeds 90%: "This leads to congestion on these routes in the morning and evening hours."
