February 16, Fineko/abc.az. The first batch of ammonium nitrate produced by KazAzot JSC, the only producer of nitrogen fertilizers in Kazakhstan, was sent to Azerbaijan as part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

ABC.AZ reports that mineral fertilizers will first be delivered from the Kazakh port of Aktau to the Azerbaijani port of Govsan, and from there to the Georgian port of Batumi, and then they will be delivered to European and world markets.

The Kazakh vessel Turkestan has shipped 3 tons of products. It is planned to ship at least 16 such shipments by the end of this year.

In 2023, 2.75 million tons of cargo were transported along the Middle Corridor, which is 64% more than in 2022.
