February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has offered cooperation to Türkiye regarding the fifth-generation fighter jet known as KAAN.

ABC.AZ reports that Russia’s consul general in Istanbul, Andrey Buravov, stated about this.

He said that Moscow is ready for cooperation: "We want to strengthen military and technical cooperation. We have had offers before. Regarding the joint production of these aircraft, work was done at various levels between official institutions and companies. Relevant companies and institutions have expressed their readiness to work together."

Earlier, Ukraine expressed its intention to purchase Kaan from Türkiye in the future.

The Kaan is Türkie's first national fighter jet, which should create competition for the new generation of American F-35 combat aircraft.
