February 28, Fineko/abc.az. 14 private foreign companies have been involved in the desalination of seawater in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Zaur Mikayilov, the chairman of the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, said about this during the Milli Majlis hearings on topic "The country's water sector: problems and new challenges".

"After the relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev, technical regulations were prepared. An announcement was made 10 days ago. Foreign companies have applied to participate in the process of desalination of seawater. They have already started their activities," he said.
