February 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku City Master Plan for the period until 2040 does not provide for construction of metro lines to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport and the city of Khirdalan.

ABC.AZ reports that Baku Metro CJSC chair Zaur Huseynov said about this at panel conference "Unchanging values, changing opportunities".

"As part of the Baku development plan until 2040, it is planned to increase the number of metro stations, but the construction of metro lines to the airport and Khirdalan is not envisaged. It is possible that the issue of the construction of these stations will be raised after 2040," he said.
