March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 8,180 tons of meat for $17.442 million for Jan-Feb 2024.

 

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that imports of products grew by $5.45 million in value terms, that is, by 45.4%, in quantitative terms — by about 858 tons (11.7%).

The country imported 7,322 tons of meat for $11.992 million for Jan-Feb 2023. The import price for 1 ton of meat this year was $2,132, and last year it was $1,638.

Prices rose by $494, or 30.2%. The import of 1 kg of meat for Jan-Feb 2024 amounted to 3.62 manats and 2.78 manats for Jan-Feb 2023.

The cost of imported meat for the reported term made up 0.71% of Azerbaijan's total imports. Over Jan-Feb 2023, meat imports reached 0.45% of Azerbaijan's total imports.
