Azerbaijan imported nearly 250 tons of pharmaceutical products from EU for January

March 28, Fineko/abc.az. This January, the EU countries exported about 248 tons of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan (2.6% less versus January 2023), ABC.AZ reports, referring to Eurostat.

In monetary terms, deliveries grew by 6.2% up to approx. €13.6 million.

The commodity structure of exports was dominated by medicines (commodity nomenclature code - 3004), supplies from the EU to Azerbaijan of which decreased by 0.5% in physical terms, to about 241 tons, and by 5.3% in monetary terms, to nearly €10.1 million.

Among the EU countries, Top 3 of the largest exporters of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan in January includes: Hungary - 66 tons (an increase of 29.7%) for €2.1 million (growth: 12.1%), Germany - 64 tons (a rise of 29.6%) for €3.2 million (a drop of 15.9%), and Slovenia - 32 tons (decline: 44.5%) for €1.8 million (decline of 20.1%).

Top 3 of European suppliers of medicines (commodity nomenclature code - 3004) to Azerbaijan this month includes: Hungary - 66 tons (a rise of 29.2%) for €1.6 million (a drop of 15.3%), Germany - 62 tons (growth: 33.2%) for €2.7 million (increase of 9.1%), and Slovenia - 32 tons (decline: 44.5%) for €1.8 million (a drop of 20.1%).
