April 2, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, investments in the economy of occupation- liberated Eastern Zangezur increased up to 3.955 bn manats.

ABC.AZ reports that the investments directed for the fixed assets of the Eastern Zangezur Economic Region made up 78.2% year-on-year.

By volume of investments, the Lachin and Kelbajar districts, which are part of the economic region, are the second and third largest administrative territories after the city of Baku.

The investments in Lachin district grew 5.6-fold over the year and totaled 1.56 bn manats, and in Kelbajar district increased by 118% up to 879.5 million manats.

Investments in the economy of Eastern Zangezur in the amount of 3.749 bn manats were mainly directed for construction.
