April 6, Fineko/abc.az. A register of entrepreneurs engaged in the import and production of tobacco products is being created in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the amendment to the Law on Tobacco & Tobacco Products, discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy.

According to the amendment, it is proposed to establish the procedure for registration of business entities engaged in the import and production of tobacco products, maintaining a register of business entities engaged in the import and production of tobacco products and the regulations on the Register.

Implementation of re-registration and registration of business entities for import and production of tobacco products is carried out in accordance with the Law on Licenses & Permits".

Registered business entities are included in the Register, and they are issued an extract from the Register in electronic or hard copy.

A state fee must be paid for issuance of an extract from the Register in the amount established by the Law on State Duty.

Control over activity for import and production of tobacco products without registration, including compliance with registration conditions for this activity, envisaged in Articles 10.2 and 10.3 of this law, is carried out by a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
