April 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 211,967 tons of wheat for $48.74 million for Jan-Mar 2024 (356,147 tons for $108.758 million for Jan-Mar 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

Thus, compared with last year, country’s wheat imports decreased by 40.5% in quantitative terms and 2.3-fold in value.

The average cost of 1 ton of imported wheat fell from $305 to $227 (a drop of $78).
