April 17, Fineko/abc.az. The process of withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily stationed in Karabakh from Azerbaijan has begun.

ABC.AZ reports that the first composition and military equipment of the peacekeeping contingent left the territory of the Albanian temple Khudavang in Kalbajar district.

The contingent of peacekeepers left the monastery only a few days ago.

Khudavang Monastery is currently guarded by the Azerbaijani police.

Thus, the process of withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent from the territory of Azerbaijan began.

The Russian peacekeeping contingent was temporarily stationed in Karabakh following the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020 between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia.
