A decision to withdraw Russian peacekeepers from Azerbaijan made by both countries’ leadership

April 17, Fineko/abc.az. The leadership of both countries has decided on the early withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the territory of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department for Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev stated about this, when answering a question in connection with information about the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the territory of Azerbaijan.

"Based on the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, the leadership of both countries decided to prematurely withdraw from the territory of our country the peacekeepers of the Russian Federation temporarily stationed in the territory of Azerbaijan. The process has already begun, the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Russia are taking the necessary measures to implement this decision," Hajiyev said.
