April 17, Fineko/abc.az. There are few fines imposed by the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources in Azerbaijan to prevent the export of sand and gravel from the sea.

ABC.AZ reports that MP Rufat Guliyev made the above-said statement at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship during the discussion of the draft law "On the creation of artificial land plots in the part of the Caspian Sea (lake) belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan".

"The fine is so small that it can be paid for 2-3 cars of sand and gravel," he said.
