April 18, Fineko/abc.az. Flour enriched with iron will be sold in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Food Safety Agency’s chairmsn Goshgar Tahmazli said about this at public hearing on the theme "The food safety system and its role in the unified concept of health" held by the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy.

He added that in order to prevent iron deficiency anemia, a working group has been established in connection with the enrichment of wheat flour: "The process of fortification of flour with iron will be carried out at bread production enterprises and flour milling enterprises. Thus, along with ordinary flour, flour enriched with iron will be sold in retail chains."
