Portugal increased purchases of crude oil from Azerbaijan by 83%

April 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2024, Portugal significantly increased purchases of crude oil from Azerbaijan compared with Q1 of 2023.

Portugal bought 170,137 tons of crude oil from our country in the 1st quarter, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee. The cost of this crude oil is $104.135 million.

The Southern European country increased crude oil imports from Azerbaijan by 83% in the 1st quarter of 2024 against the same term of 2023. Azerbaijan sold crude oil to this country at $80 per barrel or $612 per ton.

Over the past quarter, Azerbaijan exported a total of 5.6 million tons of crude oil (42.65 million barrels) for $3.49 billion.
