April 29, Fineko/abc.az. The decline in oil production has led to a decrease in total trade turnover, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Milli Majlis MP Vugar Bayramov.

He noted that oil production lowered by 6.7% during this time.

"Azerbaijan's exports account for about 90% of oil and gas exports. The decrease in imports is linked with seasonal factors, as well as the introduction of new rules for public procurement."

He noted that the decline in exports of electricity and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages had an impact on overall non-oil exports.:

"From angle of economic diversification, diversification of the structure of non-oil exports and export markets remains a priority."
