April 29, Fineko/abc.az. The value of the portfolio of listed shares of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) for Q1 of 2024 amounted to $12.5 bn, ABC.AZ reports with reference to SOFAZ.

In the 1st quarter of this year, investments in shares of 1,466 companies from 24 countries in 15 currencies were made in the quoted stock portfolio.

Over the past quarter of 2024, SOFAZ became the owner of a large number of Microsoft shares.

Compared with the end of last year, Alfabet (Google) failed to get into the Top 5 SOFAZ in the 1st quarter of this year. At the end of 2023, the Fund acquired Alfabet shares for $258 million.

SOFAZ invested $179 million in Mark Zuckerberg's Meta platforms.
