April 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Threads app has been shut down in Türkiye.

ABC.AZ reports that this happened by the decision of the Turkish Competition Agency.

So, last month, the agency issued a temporary decision in the case of abuse of its position against Meta, which unites Threads and Instagram.

Threads application, launched worldwide in July 2023, reached 2 million users in just 2 hours. By the end of day 5, the app had exceeded 100 million users. Currently, Threads has about 150 million monthly active users, but has subsequently seen slowdown in growth.
