April 30, Fineko/abc.az. There is a sharp decrease in the price of eggs, which, according to sellers, is seasonal. One egg, which used to cost 16-17 gapiks, is sold in stores for 8-9 gapiks, and in supermarkets even for 6 gapiks. The product has also fallen in price in the regions. It is reported that decrease in prices is also linked with abundance of products.

ABC.AZ informs that expert economist Eldeniz Amirov told the local press that seasonal factors are the main reason for the sharp drop in egg prices:

"Seasonal factors directly lead to an increase in egg production. Growth in egg production, both in individual farms and in poultry farms, affects the price. At that, an increase in egg production in exporting countries due to seasonal factors, as a result, increased supply in export markets. A rise in supply both in our country and in export destinations leads to decline in egg prices."
