May 1, Fineko/abc.az. On May 1, a moratorium on fishing in all reservoirs of the country comes into force in connection with fish spawning.

ABC.AZ reports that this ban will last until September 1.

Individuals and legal entities engaged in industrial fishing must ensure the removal of fishing gear from all natural reservoirs by May 1, otherwise their storage will be considered a violation of the law and appropriate disciplinary measures will be applied against these persons.

In order to prevent illegal fishing, employees of the state environmental safety and biodiversity protection services of the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, the Police Department for Water Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carry out regular control measures in the inland waters of the country and take measures in accordance with the legislation against persons engaged in illegal fishing.
