May 1, Fineko/abc.az. We can't allow certain European countries to treat other nations as colonies in 21st century. When we raised this issue at the international level, as well as during our chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, we did so not because we were against any country, but because we defended justice and international law.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said this at the opening ceremony of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, themed “Dialogue for Peace and Global Security: Cooperation and Interconnectivity” in Baku today.

"The world should not turn a blind eye to the disgusting practice of neocolonialism. This leads to forced assimilation, as is the case, for example, in more than ten overseas territories of France. This is unacceptable and it must be stopped," the head of state noted.
