May 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan was unanimously elected the host country of COP 29. Now we see our role in building bridges.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated this during his speech at the opening ceremony of the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue "Dialogue for Peace & Global Security", which began work on May 1 in Baku.

Azerbaijan can do a lot thanks to its history, geography, relations with European institutions, as well as its geographical location between East and West, the head of state noted: "In addition to discussing financial issues, which will already be the main topic of SOR29, we need solidarity and mutual trust."
