May 3, Fineko/abc.az. The insurance season for cotton fields, considered important crops in agriculture, has begun in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Agricultural Insurance Fund, an important and profitable innovation was made this year for farmers engaged in cotton cultivation.

Thus, insurance of cotton fields from rain was also included in the basic package.

An important innovation for farmers this year is the addition of rain risk to the basic insurance package. Thus, farmers who had been growing cotton up to now had to receive insurance against heavy rains separately.

Sometimes farmers did not show interest in insuring their fields against heavy rains due to ignorance or because they considered this risk not so dangerous.
