May 15, Fineko/abc.az. The memorandum of understanding has been signed on the construction of a modern olive oil processing plant in Azerbaijan with capacity of 4,000 tons per year at the initial stage.

ABC.AZ informs that the signing ceremony took place within the 17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition Caspian Agro and the 29th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition InterFood Azerbaijan.

The memo was signed between Azerbaijan Investment Company, Israeli LLC Granot International Agricultural Cooperative Society and Agro Food Investments LLC on the establishment of an olive garden with an area of 1,000 hectares at the initial stage and the construction of a modern olive oil processing plant with capacity of 4,000 tons per year.

The project to be implemented on the basis of advanced technologies will contribute to production of competitive products and expand export opportunities. It is planned to create about 50 jobs within the project.
