A self-service point to open at Baku airport

ABC.AZ reports that Rashad Hagverdiyev, Director for Health, Safety, Quality and Environment at Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), said about this when delivering speech at an event in Baku.

He said that the fleet is being updated.

"We plan to upgrade more than 20 Airbus aircrafts. These steps will reduce fuel consumption by 20%. In addition, our team uses new software to find the best route and reduce carbon emissions. AZAL uses self-service, check-in service. 18 hand luggage collection points and a self-service check-in point will be opened. This work done means saving 10 tons of paper in 1 year. AZAL implements waste recycling projects. We will recycle 15 tons of paper waste every year," Hagverdiyev added.
