May 17, Fineko/abc.az. At the initial stage, 500,000 tons of cargo a year will be transported through the cargo terminal in Alat free economic zone to be launched in the 1st half of 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that Valeh Aleskerov, chairman of board of the FEZ authorized body, said this at the event "Raising ambitions and stimulating activities: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum".

He stressed that the Alat FEZ provides its customers with infrastructure and utility services, as well as all types of transport and logistics services.

"At the same time, we are creating transport and logistics centers. We provide enterprises established in the economic zone with a package of fiscal and non-fiscal benefits, including tax exemption," Aleskerov said.
