Azerbaijan becomes Georgia's 5th key trading partner

May 20, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan became Georgia's 5th main trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2024, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Georgian National Statistics Office.

Georgia imported goods and products from Azerbaijan for $208.84 million (14.5% less than in annual terms).

Georgia's exports to Azerbaijan declined by 26.7% compared with 2023 to $191.94 million.

This year, Georgia's trade turnover with Azerbaijan totaled $400.79 million, which is $105.32 million, or 20.8% less than in annual terms.

The main trading partner of Georgia for Q1 of 2024 was Türkiye — $964.06 million. The other Top 5 countries were Russia ($836.8 million), China ($497.54 million) and the U.S. ($479.7 million).
