CBA net profit has grown — Report

May 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank ended 2023 with net profit of 349.113 million manats, whereas the previous year was completed with losses.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the consolidated financial statements for 2023.

According to the report, CBA assets as of January 1, 2024 amounted to 34.79 bn mantas (12.74% higher against the 2023 same term).

Of the CBA's assets, 27.46 bn manats were debt securities (22.8% more than a year earlier), 5.629 bn manats were cash and cash equivalents (14.5% less). During this period, settlements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) increased slightly to 1.208 bn manats, and the book value of loans given to banks decreased by 74.8% to 72.951 million manats.
In 2023, CBA's liabilities increased by 11.2% and amounted to 33.239 bn manats.
