May 30, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for village chickens have increased over the past two months.

ABC.AZ reports that the price increase is observed for both live and slaughtered village chickens. Sellers say that depending on the weight, the price difference is up to 3 manats.

Price increases are also evident in districts of Azerbaijan.

In the Tovuz and Mingachevir markets, the price difference compared with previous months ranges from 1.50 manats to 3 manats. According to sellers, the reason for the price increase is the rise in price of feed. As feed prices rise, farm costs also increase, which directly affects the prices of live and slaughtered village chickens.

Sellers reported that along with village chickens, broiler chickens are also offered to customers at the market. But their prices are relatively low.
