May 30, Fineko/abc.az. A law has been approved on free education of family members of martyrs at private universities.

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, President Ilham Aliyev signed the draft amendments to the Law on Education.

The amendments have been prepared in order to improve regulatory legal acts in the field of payment of tuition fees at the expense of the State Budget for tuition fees in educational institutions for a number of persons with special needs for social protection.

According to the document, as a benefit, expenses for education during the period of study on a paid basis can be covered at the expense of the State Budget to members of the families of martyrs in private higher, secondary specialized and vocational educational institutions, persons who have received the title of War Veteran in vocational educational institutions, as well as persons with disabilities in private vocational schools educational institutions, persons under the age of 20 and having parents who have established disability for 81-100% impairment of body functions, whose monthly income is below the subsistence level.
