June 6, Fineko/abc.az. Russia and Azerbaijan are paying more and more attention to development and diversification of relations, which, if continued, will lead to good results.

ABC.AZ reports that Russian leader Vladimir Putin said about this at a meeting with the heads of large foreign news agencies.

"The total trade turnover is about $4.5 - 4.6 bn, and the pace is good. The pace of development is very good. We are diversifying our relations more and more, and I am sure that if this attitude is maintained on both sides, and we are in the same mood in Russia, I am sure that the results will be, and will be good," he noted.

Putin added that logistics is one of the important areas of joint work between the two countries.

"In this sense, a lot needs to be done in terms of logistics development - this applies not only to the North-South road, but also in other vectors: the construction of logistics centers, including on the border of Russia and Azerbaijan - on the Dagestan section, work is already underway there. This also applies to other areas," Putin said.
