Georgia may postpone requirement for compulsory insurance for tourists

June 6, Fineko/abc.az. Compulsory medical and accident insurance for tourists arriving in Georgia is scheduled to be postponed until January 1, 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that a bill has been submitted to the parliament of a neighboring country suspending the relevant paragraph of the law until the end of next year.

The document was presented by parliamentarians representing ruling party Georgian Dream.

According to the Law on Tourism, tourists coming to Georgia must have compulsory medical insurance and accident insurance.
