NBA to receive $76 bn under a new TV contract

June 6, Fineko/abc.az. The North American Professional Basketball League (NBA) is nearing the conclusion of a new broadcast rights contract.

ABC.AZ reports that the league will sign a deal with media companies NBC, Disney and Amazon. They will pay $76 bn to the league. This agreement will last for 11 years.

NBC will pay to the NBA an average of $2.5 bn a year under the agreement and show about 100 games per season.

Disney's payments will average about $2.6 bn a year, which will exceed the $1.5 bn that the company paid under the current deal. Disney will continue to broadcast the NBA Finals.

Amazon's package will amount to $1.8 bn a year and will include regular season and playoff games, as well as a share of the conference finals, which will be divided alternately between media partners.
