June 12, Fineko/abc.az. This May, food, beverages and tobacco products fell in price by 0.7%, and from January to May - by 0.8% compared with Jan-May 2023. 

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that in May of this year, compared with the previous month, prices for individual food products decreased for buckwheat, fresh fish, unpasteurized skimmed milk, eggs, margarine, sunflower and corn oils, bananas, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, eggplants, string beans, garlic, onions onions; and price increase was mainly observed for rice, flour, pasta, lamb and chicken, sausages, sour cream and yogurt, butter and olive oil, lemons, apples, cabbage, table beets. No significant change was registered on prices of other food products.
